Paul Willemarck works on the heritage of Husserl’s Krisis essay, especially around the notion of interest and idealization, and on problems of aesthetics. He published on E. Levinas, J.G. Fichte, R. Boehm, and contemporary French philosophy. He has also written on contemporary art and photography. He was co-editor of Kritiek (belgian philosophical journal). He got his first training in philosophy from the former director of the Husserl archives, Rudolf Boehm, graduated on E. Levinas (in Ghent, Belgium) and pursued his study with Pierre Aubenque and Jacques Derrida (DEA) in Paris. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University Marc Bloch of Strasbourg (France).
